Extended Neck Joint

Marco’s own developed neck-body joint has two big advantages:
The neck doesn’t end at the body joint, but extends into the body up to the soundhole. Therefore overall stability is increased. As a result there will never be a bulge over time as with some „dove tail“ constructions (like for example on many high quality brand steel string guitars).
The second point to mention is the very dimensionally reduced „heel“ itself, that allows better playability in the upper frets.

Wood Composite

Marco’s Wood Composite construction is built of three coordinated material layers, which ensure greater dimensional stability, even under different climatic conditions.

The combination of true wood and extruded PVC allows a variety of combinations – in both optical and acoustic terms.

Wood Composite Air

Wood Composite Air has essentially the same structure as the standard Wood Composite, however, the small air chambers within the middle layer cause a reduction in weight and improved vibration behavior.

Triple Top Soundboard

The Triple Top is a very modern approach in soundboard design, just like Marco’s Standard/Air Wood Composite tops, it is made of three layers of different materials. The Triple Top core is made of a very resonant piece of solid Paulownia wood or extruded polystyrol. Vacuum laminating these layers, brings increased stability compared to a solid wood top.

Mini Arm Bevel

As a result of Marco’s guitar construction, all instruments come with slightly bevelled edges – a big plus concerning haptics.

Arm Bevel

A real recommendation for large body guitars as for example the „MODEL M“. Your upper arm will be grateful. 😉

Sandwich Construction

The original Sandwich concept in the construction of Marco Guitars produces a faithful, balanced acoustic-electric sound with warm tone quality throughout the extension of the instrument, with a surprisingly pleasurable acoustic sound. Marco being a talented, hard working artisan with his own ideas, is able to construct a endless variety of guitars based on the Sandwich principle. –

Agostino Di Giorgio

The Sandwich Concept is designed to expand the acoustic properties of the electric guitar. The soundboard is located inside the guitar and is protected against feedback. It also separates the upper and main sound chamber. Pick-ups and tailpiece are mounted on the top, to make sure, the soundboard can vibrate freely. The variation in the dimension of the main sound chamber alters the acoustic tonal quality, while maintaining a fine functioning electric instrument. 1. Guitar top 2. / Upper sound chamber / 3. Resoplate

Enhances the resonant properties of a solid body guitar. A piece of either glass or stainless steel is embedded into the center of the instrument. The added mass increases sustain and resonance.
